Why Ever?

So, I was managing my videos over at You Tube and I saw that the video I posted of Davan at straps has one thumbs down.  I have no idea why.  Where they hoping for straps in an S&M sort of way?  Who knows, as there was no comment to go with it.  I mean, I know it's not spectacular, but shesh.

While it shouldn't really matter to me what some stranger thinks of the video, I don't love the one thumbs down.  So, I'm wondering, if you read here, have watched the video and don't think it sucks, would you mind going on over and giving it a thumbs up?

You can find it here.  Thanks!

  1. Done! And I wouldn't worry about it. When Keilee was about 7 she wanted a video on YouTube and I videoed her doing this little thing from Wizards of Waverly Place. You would NOT believe some of the comments. They were brutal and unbelievably mean. Kids are just cruel. We LOVED the straps video. Keilee wants to be Davan when she grows up. ;) I do too!

    1. Thanks Karen, that's very kind. I know I shouldn't take it personally, and I don't, really. Still, I didn't want to let it sit at one thumbs down for some reason.

  2. that video is completely amazing!

i've seen so many mean-spirited comments on youtube. i typically disable commenting/like button on ours, as to not deal with any negativity. i like to imagine that there wouldn't be any, but as they say... some people like to throw rocks at shiny things.

you have one talented girlie on your hands. is she looking to pursue this beyond graduation?

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words.

Actually, whoever had put the thumbs down took it off, so maybe it had been a mistake? I don't expect everyone to appreciate everything I put up so I was surprised when it went away, but that's nice!

Yes, she does plan to pursue circus stuff beyond graduation at this point. Her dream is to be in Cirque du Soleil, but she'd be really happy to be in any large traveling circus internationally.

One of the places she does classes now - Do Jump - has a professional troop that is more community level than the big circuses and that would be her back up plan, as it were - to join that troop or one like it. As is the case with the current troop members, she'd then supplement that (sadly kind of meager) income with teaching, which she already does a little of and she loves.

She does have a few other career ideas, but, right now, at least, this is what she wants to do with her life!
