Davan and I were doing one of the walks from our Portland City Walks book on Saturday when Davan said to me, "We should try to do all the walks before we leave for Colorado." At the time, we had 10 days to work with and 17 walks left. And these are some busy days with all of our activities still going, Lena's mom in town, parade going and what-not. So, of course, I said, "Sure, let's go for it!"
We may have bitten off more than we can chew, but we've done three walks in the last two days. We're really going to try, but if we get so overwhelmed that we can't make them fun, we'll stop and just go for doing them all sometime - not before Colorado. So far, though, we're keeping it fun.
I've got pictures from four walks to share, but no time at the moment to blog about them because we're busy walking! And, believe me, it's keeping us busy. Most walks are five to six miles long and take quite a while with reading about what we're seeing as we go along.
Meanwhile, though, I'll leave you with a picture of our tired dog. We're wearing her out with all the walking.
We don't think she minds too much, though, because look at the book she was perusing when she fell asleep.
