Lunch Eats

I put together a tray for Davan's lunch today:


She's chowing on kale chips, a lemon lime raw cookie, black lentil sprouts, strawberries, roasted sweet potatoes, an oatmeal grapefruit raw cookie, leftover short grain rice from sushi night, frozen corn, lightly steamed cauliflower, lightly steamed carrots, roasted onions and baby bella mushroom.

For myself, after a breakfast of oatmeal, I was feeling like some greens, so I made a smoothie:


It's 4 packed cups of spinach, a half a frozen banana, a handful of frozen blueberries, a spoonful of maca powder, a sprinkle of goji berries and a bit of water.

Post mixing:


I had one glass of greenness. Now, I drank that right down and moved on to a bowl of a leftover barley and bean dish (not pictured).

I'm probably close to done, but I imagine I'll snag a few more kale chips before it's all over. Davan and I both have done a little grazing on them, as they got done well before lunch time. Davan sighed, "Oh, these are better than potato chips."
