It's 7:20am as I write this. That isn't incredibly early for me by any means, unless you consider that just the day before yesterday this time of morning would have been called 6:20am. Usually I'm just getting up and going at 7:20. I might be already running with Ranger. I might still be getting ready to go. It varies.
Today, however, I've already grocery shopped, done over an hour of work trade for Do Jump and been to the airport. Yup - that's the reason for me productive pre dawn hours. I had a visitor this weekend and she needed to be to the airport at 5am this morning. After the time change. Darn rude, I'd say.
Actually, I'm really glad she came to visit. Chris has been my life long best friend and, lately, we haven't spent enough time together, so I'm really glad she was able to fit in a visit on her way to sunny CA. In spite of the freakishly early hour in which my day started. Really.
I've just realized that the whole weekend went by without me taking a single picture of the two of us. Ah well. Take my word for it that we had a great time. We got in some card playing (a favorite of ours), some eating out, and some watching Davan do her thing over the course of the day and a half she was here.
And now she's off, winging her way to a conference in Anaheim. There will be a Disney trip involved. Meanwhile, I'm trying to convince myself that I really do want to run in the wind with Ranger (who is still sound asleep in Davan's room) this morning when I feel like I've already put in a good half a day and it's just getting light outside. Sigh.
Good for you getting some of that work trade in.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend lives in California. I miss her so much. I have many 'great' friends but only one Carla. I am so glad you were able to spend time with Chris.
